I have been involved in counselling since 2002, having spent 15 years in the corporate world. My interest in counselling originally saw me working as a crisis counsellor for young adults and adolescents. Since then I have worked in a number of different areas including university counsellor and an addictions counsellor specialising in gambling. I have facilitated groups and worked with individuals, couples, and families. I now work in private practice doing both short and long-term individual therapy, as well as relationship and marriage counselling.

I work with people who bring a wide variety of issues and concerns, and I hold a strong belief that self-knowledge and understanding empowers us towards regaining some choice and purpose in our lives.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Counselling and a Graduate Diploma in Psychosocial Studies (psychotherapy). I attend regular workshops and conferences and I am committed to ongoing training. I am currently completing a Masters in Adult Psychotherapy. I am a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and abide by their code of ethics.
